First Time?
Here is a list of a few things that will make your first time training jiu jitsu less intimidating and more enjoyable:
Have your finger and toenails cut short. This is a safety measure for all members of the gym.
Remove all jewelry.
If you have long hair, please have it tied up.
Wear athletic/gym clothes and compression shorts/sports bra underneath.
Bring a water bottle.
Bring shoes that can easily be slipped on and off to wear anytime you are not on the mat.
A mouthguard is not required, but it is recommended.
Complete the waiver before stepping on the mat.
