First Time?

Here is a list of a few things that will make your first time training jiu jitsu less intimidating and more enjoyable:

  • Have your finger and toenails cut short. This is a safety measure for all members of the gym.

  • Remove all jewelry.

  • If you have long hair, please have it tied up.

  • Wear athletic/gym clothes and compression shorts/sports bra underneath.

  • Bring a water bottle.

  • Bring shoes that can easily be slipped on and off to wear anytime you are not on the mat.

  • A mouthguard is not required, but it is recommended.

  • Complete the waiver before stepping on the mat.
